Hi John,
Why do plate washers fit the bolts so loosely, is this intentional?
I get real OCD about this sometimes and we'll often use the next size smaller which requires filing or drilling for a good fit. The more visible the application the more likely I am to do this as it makes my fabrications look wonky with sloppy washer fit.
Is this a bad idea?
