I have a 2003 Mazda Astina 323 Shades, and i've been using E10 for a few yrs now. I've just found out from Mazda i should not have been using E10. I would like to know from you, is there anything I need to do before I start using unleaded, or shall I wait until the petrol in the tank goes down, and start using unleaded.
Your help would be appreciated.
Keep up the good work on 2UE.
Mate, thanks for the kind words, and for listening on Radio 2UE.
I assume we're talking about THIS CAR.
It doesn't really matter how you do this. Simply stop using E10, and full up with the regular unleaded (or 95 or 98 - your choice).
Over time the ethanol in the tank will just disappear via dilution and consumption.
I doubt using E10 will hurt your car very much at all - but it's probably false economy to use it. Full report on using E10 and other fuel types here.
Just fill up as normal, using non-E10 petrol from now on.
All the best,
