I watched your review on Utes with great interest which trained my eye towards the Colorado 4x4 crew cab. I will only be able to afford $25,000 when the time comes and going by your reviews, all Colorados in that price range are only three star for safety. Is it still ok to buy a 2008 – 2011 Colorado or maybe look for other 4x4 alternatives which body types are classed as station wagons.Read More

I've just been chasing the best price I can get for a dual cab ute (style side). At the moment the best I've found is the Nissan Navara D40 and the Holden Colorado. Nissan Navara is about $42k with bullbar and tow bar. Holden Colorado is about $45k with the same accessories. I was wondering if you were able to find me a better deal?Read More
I'm interested in a manual Colorado 7 LX with tow pack and bulbar. I'd like to know if it's worth paying $42,000 for this model. I've never bought a 4x4 dual cab ute before and I'm quite nervous if I'm making the right choice, if you think it's worth the plunge as I would like to try some weekend bush drives with my kids but mainly town driving, also a decent broker for a car loan please.Read More
The dual-cab 4WD ute market is drowning in choice. The Federal Government’s luxury car tax is an unmitigated rip-off - 33 per cent on top of every dollar you spend on a new car over $61,884. The former Labour government pumped it up to 33 per cent (from 25 per cent) back in 2008. If you want to avoid paying this extortionate tax, these are the top 10 cars - by category - that are LCT-free, and which you can also love to own.Read More
The 4WD ute segment is knee-deep in dogs. Once you flick the utes with fleas, the utes that are just under-done and the ones with expired use-by dates … there are just three 4WD utes you should consider buying. Let’s leave personal preference and marketing spin to one side and use the hi-tech miracle of objective criteria to process today’s dual-cab 4WD utes through the automotive abattoir. We’ll see which three manage to escape the knife.Read More
Why do Toyotas, including the Toyota HiLux, have higher resale value in the second-market than Holden Colorado? Is that due to the quality of the cars? (I saw some reviews involved in quality problem of Colorado online.) You know I am not worrying about it too much as Holden provides 5 years warranty at this time, however I am worrying about taking time out of my job if the Colorado happens to broken. Can you give me some information about the quality of the cars?Read More
I am hunting a ute as a contractor for cabling. Normally, I drive everywhere mainly on flat streets for handiwork, but sometimes I drive in the country. I need a dual-cab 4X4 auto ute as I have kids to pick up. You know it is by the end of financial year. I'm trying to decide between the Holden Colorado LT 4X4 auto($38,000 + 5 year warranty + 3 years free serving), Toyota HiLux SR 4X4 auto ($43,000 + 3 years warranty) and Mitsubishi Triton GLX 4X4 auto ($32,000 + 5 years warranty). I have no experience with the ute yet. Which one should I buy?Read More
