Best SUV for Towing 1400kg

I'm considering a Honda CR-V to tow my boat. Specific requirements are full-size spare (as some longer trips likely) and electric driver's seat with memory (it's a pain when we swap cars - other car is a Mazda CX-9 Luxury). The ability to tow a 1400kg boat would be a plus, but the CX-9 does that with ease.

Best SUV in Australia for Three Kids?

We currently own a 2007 Honda CR-V fitted with both a booster seat and a rear-facing baby seat. We are expecting a third child in two months. My wife believes we need a new car, and although I find the  prospect a financially daunting one, I have been searching online and visiting dealerships.

Nissan X-TRAIL -Vs- Mazda CX-5 -Vs- Kia Sportage

Thank you for a very informative review of the Nissan X-TRAIL on YouTube. We are in the market for a new SUV and we looked at the Nissan X-TRAIL Ti. It will be mainly suburbia driving with no off-road . I was wondering about your opinion of the Nissan X-TRAIL's CVT. I've heard a lot of opinions but the one we test drove today went very well.

Which SUV Should I Buy?

I am 32 years old and am keen to buy a new or second-hand SUV. I am ready to spend up to $45,000 on this vehicle. My partner wants a car with a 'premium' feel (leather seats for instance) and I want a car with more acceleration capacity than a soccer-mum car. We may drive off-road very occasionally (twice a year, maybe). What would be your advice regarding the purchase of my next car?

Another Owner Says The Holden Captiva is a Lemon

I now realize this car is an absolute lemon. I really need some sound advice from you as to what can be done. I have already had many warranty issues with the car. The entire dashboard computer needing replacement, big issues with the car just dropping out of gear at any time on the highway with complete loss of power, and of course the entire engine needed to be replaced just prior to the warranty running out recently. Now I find this - it seems the transmission is stuffed, it just clunks and drops in and out of gear between certain ranges. Please help me.

Should I Buy a Hyundai Santa Fe or a Nissan Pathfinder?

We went and test drove a 2015 Hyundai Sante Fe which we really liked but then also looked at the Nissan Pathfinder St-L and Ti models.  I appreciate the Nissan is dearer and no diesel option but the extra space (my family is tall) and finishing was an added bonus.  I would be grateful for your opinion on the Nissan Pathfinder.

Should I Buy a Nissan Navara or a Holden Colorado?

I've just been chasing the best price I can get for a dual cab ute (style side). At the moment the best I've found is the Nissan Navara D40 and the Holden Colorado. Nissan Navara is about $42k with bullbar and tow bar. Holden Colorado is about $45k with the same accessories. I was wondering if you were able to find me a better deal?

Should I Modify my Nissan Navara for Towing?

l have just bought a 2006 3.0-litre turbo diesel Nissan Navara dual cab ute. l bought it thinking it would tow my six-metre fibreglass boat without too much trouble, but it does struggle when towing uphill. l to have heard about these Hiclone systems that are supposed to give you more power and use less fuel. I have also been told about some chip that you can install and l have also been told to install a larger exhaust system, and so on. I am getting very confused!

Nissan X-Trail 2014 Test Drive Review

The 2014 Nissan X-Trail certainly is an upgrade on the previous X-Trail. In fact, SUVs have become the cornerstone of Nissan’s vehicle portfolio. The company now has six different SUVs: The Juke, Qashqai, X-Trail, Murano, Pathfinder and the  Patrol. The 2014 Nissan X-Trail is the SUV Nissan has designed to take the fight squarely to Mazda’s CX-5, Subaru’s Forester, Hyundai's ix35 and Kia's Sportage. Should you even bother putting the 2014 Nissan X-Trail on your SUV shopping short-list?

Should I Buy Subaru Tribeca, Nissan X-Trail or Hyundai Santa Fe?

We're looking at a new seven-seater with two primary school kids, the third row will be "a nice to have", used for small trips and kids so we don't need a people mover. I was thinking of the Hyundai Santa Fe Highlander but the recent run out price of the Subaru Tribeca has given me a dilemma. The Subaru Tribeca is almost $10,000 cheaper and I'm a loyal Subaru owner: I've owned an Impreza , Liberty and an Outback as my last three cars. Discontinued Subaru Tribeca for mid-$40,000s, or impressive Hyundai Sante Fe for mid $50,000s? The $10,000 difference is worth asking your opinion!

What 4WD Ute Should I Buy?

The 4WD ute segment is knee-deep in dogs. Once you flick the utes with fleas, the utes that are just under-done and the ones with expired use-by dates … there are just three 4WD utes you should consider buying. Let’s leave personal preference and marketing spin to one side and use the hi-tech miracle of objective criteria to process today’s dual-cab 4WD utes through the automotive abattoir. We’ll see which three manage to escape the knife.
