Top 10 ways to stay safe on the roads this Christmas

See this Muppet (right)? He's not taking a break from driving this Christmas. He's a given, as are many more crap drivers.
The authorities and courts are useless at getting these people off the roads, and the official advice about staying safe is a disgrace.
So, if you don't want to die on the roads this Christmas, here's how:

Once again these holidays the authorities will trot out the same old messages about speed, fatigue, alcohol and seatbelts.

It's advice for idiots. (Because if you're driving excessively fast, dead tired, drunk and/or unrestrained you are by definition an idiot - and therefore probably quite unreceptive to these expensive messages.)

But how about if you're not an idiot? How about if you're a responsible driver? Where's the official advice for you, on slashing risk on the roads this Christmas?

Spoiler alert: It doesn't exist. (That's your tax dollars at work...)

Here's my crack at keeping you safe on the roads over the coming days. The better, hopefully, to see you back at the coalface in 2017. Implement these top 10 tips, and driving these holidays will be a lot safer for you and your family.
