I've watched a few of your videos and I'd like to say thank you.
My garage is tiny (1600mm) so I'm limited to what car will fit.
I had my heart set on the Mercedes-Benz GLA 250. I priced it all up with the optional extras I wanted and it was about 73k drive away. So I jumped online to read some reviews and came across yours on the Mazda CX-3.
My parents (both retired, and I'm 34 with a three-year-old boy) have a Mazda CX-5 and they love it. So I thought to myself I'll just go to the new Mazda dealership down the road and have a look.
"To be honest it looks and feels just as good as a Mercedes-Benz GLA 250"
I drove the 2WD and AWD petrol Mazda CX-3. I couldn't tell the difference. Both felt amazing. And to be honest it looks and feels just as good as a GLA 250 (just a bird flying into a window instead of a three-pointed star) and half the price.
So I purchased myself the Mazda CX-3 Akari, drive-away for just under $40k. Much better than $73k for the Benz, that's for sure. Not to mention if something goes wrong it's a Mazda not a Merc!
Just an FYI, that dealer has been open for three weeks and sold 70, yes seventy CX-3s. Going off like hotcakes!
Mainly I'd like to thank you for your honesty when it comes to comparing 'ze-Germans' with the rest. $35k is a massive saving! Personally I think the Mazda interior looks amazing (in black; the white is horrible) and I love all of the safety features that are standard with the top model Akari. Especially seeing they aren't standard on the GLA 250! The monster tacho in the centre of the Mazda instrument cluster is the only thing that's a little weird, but the rest is fantastic.
Thanks for pointing it all out to me,
